Next-generation WiFi 7 for a connected home
ASUS RT-BE90U is a BE9400 tri-band WiFi 7 router designed for high-speed home networks with many connected devices. Speeds up to 9400 Mbps, a dedicated 6 GHz band, Multi-Link Operation, 2.5G Ethernet connectivity, Smart AiMesh, and advanced security provide a powerful foundation for 8K streaming, gaming, content creation, and smart home devices.
Tri-band WiFi 7 performance
WiFi 7 delivers combined wireless speeds of up to 9400 Mbps across three bands – up to 5764 Mbps on 6 GHz, 2882 Mbps on 5 GHz, and 1032 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. The additional 6 GHz band provides more capacity for compatible modern devices while maintaining support for older WiFi equipment.
Faster transfers with 320 MHz and 4K-QAM
Ultra-wide 320 MHz channels double available bandwidth compared with 160 MHz channels, allowing more data to be transmitted simultaneously. 4096-QAM further improves transmission efficiency by up to 20% compared with WiFi 6/6E 1024-QAM, helping compatible devices achieve higher speeds.
Smoother connectivity with MLO
Multi-Link Operation allows compatible WiFi 7 devices to use or intelligently switch between multiple frequency bands. By combining the advantages of 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz connections, MLO helps improve data transfer efficiency, connection stability, and latency.
Powerful hardware for demanding networks
A 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and 1 GB of RAM provide the processing performance needed for advanced network functions and intensive traffic. Six external antennas and six high-power front-end modules help deliver reliable wireless signals throughout the home.
Multi-gigabit wired connectivity
Four 2.5G Ethernet ports provide high-speed wired connections for computers, network storage, entertainment systems, and other demanding devices. Flexible WAN/LAN configurations and USB support for 4G LTE or 5G mobile tethering provide additional options for building a reliable home network.
Wider coverage with Smart AiMesh
Smart AiMesh allows compatible ASUS routers to work together under a single network name for seamless whole-home coverage. WiFi 7 MLO can also be used for intelligent wireless backhaul, while 2.5G Ethernet provides a high-speed wired backhaul option where cabling is available.
Smart Home Master for easier network management
Smart Home Master simplifies the creation of dedicated networks for different purposes. Separate IoT, children's, and VPN networks can be configured with their own settings, helping organise connected devices while providing convenient parental controls and security options.
Advanced network protection
ASUS Network Security combines commercial-grade AiProtection with automatic security updates, Safe Browsing, security scanning, and device management tools. Extensive VPN support includes WireGuard®, OpenVPN, and Instant Guard, helping protect both the home network and remote connections.
